Deer Park Volunteer Ambulance is a 501(c)3 non-tax based ambulance service that provides Advanced Life Support transport capabilities to approximately 630 square miles, serving more than 40,000 citizens in North Spokane County, Southern Stevens County and parts of southern Pend Orielle County. Established in 1948, Deer Park Volunteer Ambulance has strived to meet and exceed industry standards by providing our citizens with highly trained personnel and top of the line medical equipment. Deer Park Volunteer Ambulance also prides itself in being a training agency that offers new EMT's a positive learning environment to build their skills.
Deer Park Volunteer Ambulance is governed by a Board of Directors that consists of 3 members of the community, 2 members from our volunteer membership as well as 2 members from our partnering Fire Departments. With 5 Full-time staff members supporting over 60 volunteers, Deer Park Volunteer Ambulance uses a blended Staffing model to effectively utilize our resources. In 2009, DPVA implemented a Quick Response Vehicle to help meet the increasing need of ALS, insuring that Paramedics are available for critical patients. Select DPVA members form a Wildland Fire EMS Response Team that provide services for the U.S. Forest Service and DNR during the summer months.
